New Special Effects Makeup Show Premieres Tonight

Tonight Syfy is premiering a new reality show called Face Off, wherein professional FX makeup artists compete in increasingly challenging makeup design competitions. Special effects makeup is a fascinating field, and you can learn a lot about bone structure, color theory, and makeup in general by watching how these people work.

I'm clearly pretty excited for the show, especially since I'm always on the lookout for over-involved Halloween makeup ideas (if it doesn't take at least an hour and involve a pound of cream base, I'm not interested).
