Hollywood is trying to send us a message: less is more when it comes to lips. Already celebrities have rebelled by flooding our Instagram streams with no-makeup photos [1]. But now the barely-there trend has hit the red carpet in a major way. At the People's Choice Awards, neutral lips could be spotted at every turn. Not just pale pinks and light browns, but nearly nonexistent nudes in both matte and glossy variations. Sandra Bullock [2], Naya Rivera, and Nina Dobrev [3] were all pictured in the trend. Is this the end of lip color as we know it? We won't go that far. We're hoping these stars are just hibernating their bright shades until Spring.
