Paul and Joe Cat Lipsticks

Cute or Creepy? Paul & Joe's Cat Lipsticks

Upon first glance you'll probably notice that Paul & Joe Beauté's forthcoming lipsticks are encased with soft, feminine designs. But upon second glance, you'll notice that the lipsticks themselves are etched out to form the faces of kittens.

If you're a longtime reader, you'll know I love cats (a lot), but this design is weirding me out. There's plenty to like about kittens, but this feline face would make me feel like I was being watched by Ceiling Cat. Does this unique approach to cosmetics have you squealing with glee, or are you similarly disturbed?

I think they're kind of adorable! I think they're only available at Bergdorf Goodman in the states, though.

like a tim burton animation; it's just the right mix between cute and creepy. the application might be tough though

If you find the cat creepy, just use the lipstick more often to wear the print out.

I'm a bird person and if I can throw in my 2 cents - why is there a swan with the cat face? Cats eat/kill birds and who the heck are these 2 guys anyway? I guess I'm not the beauty product junkie I once was?! :makeup:

I would be creeped out if it were lipstick for cats to wear. With the way people are dressing their animals it would not surprise me. XO

I luv cute..but I prefer to have it limited to packaging or if teh cuteness doesnt impact the effectiveness...HOW WOULD I APPLY THIS LIPSTICK....SWIPING DOWN THE SMOOTH CENTER OR PUCKER AND USING TEH TINY CAT EARS??? DWL!!too crazy for me...

I don't necessarily find it creepy, but it seems really impractical. The slanted bullet shape of most lipsticks is functional for gliding over the lips easily for better application. How is this going to make for an easy lipstick application without having to use the addition of a brush/fingers/whatever? Unless you always use a separate tool for applying lipstick (and never apply bullet-to-lips), it seems this would get a little annoying.
