Would You Buy Makeup at Payless?

Over the past few years, Payless ShoeSource has upped the ante by recruiting designers like Alice + Olivia, Abaeté, Lela Rose, and Christian Siriano. Now, the discount shoe retailer is bringing something unexpected to the table: makeup and body products. WWD reports that Payless will introduce beauty products starting in September.

Sold under the names Unforgettable Moments and Zoe & Zac, the offerings will include fragrances, lotions, and nail, lip, and eye colors ($3–$20). Payless is an institution when it comes to bargain shoe shopping, but tell us: do you think you'd shop there for beauty goods, too?

no. there is a sephora across the street from the one in sf, where i will continue to buy my makeup. however, it is an interesting idea

They actually tested the nail polish in some stores in the fall and the quality it pretty nice. At $2.99 a bottle it's worth a try. They just rolled out the spring/summer colors and I picked two bottles up. They're pretty nice. @ Girl Jen -they are big 3 free and cruelty free.

I don't go in there for shows so I don't think adding make-up would draw me in. I'm pretty married to the make-up and nail polish I use right now.

I wouldn't go for just the make-up,but if I were there looking for shoes for that special occasion, I would check out the make-up selection, that way I could find the perfect look and accessorize everything together.

Of course I would. I have no shame, I have a look at the makeup available no matter what store I am in---I'm a shameless makeup junkie :-D

If I was there to buy shoes I'd also probably be thinking of what I was going to wear on my face when I was doing my shopping. I would be more likely to at least peruse the selection if I was there looking for shoes, but I probably wouldn't go there specifically for makeup.
