It's rare to see Katherine Heigl stray from her platinum-blond locks, although she went dark blond for her role in 27 Dresses. At last night's premiere of The Ugly Truth, Katherine gave us a surprise, debuting a new brunette shade with subdued red undertones. What do you think of her new look? Does she work as a sassy brunette, or do you think she should stick to her signature blond color that we've all grown accustomed to over the years?

I said brunette. I think she could even go darker
That brunette is almost auburn... I think the blonde adds to her superfeminine pouty features but yeah she's pretty either way.
I said blonde, but only because I think that shade of brunette doesn't work on her - I agree with genesisrocks, it should be darker.
Brunette. The blond always looked to me like she did it at home. It was brassy and cheap looking. And it looked awful with her dark brown eyes.
I like the blond on her. The brunette looks good as well but the blond is better. IMO
I feel like this is foolery - I like the blonde in those pictures but the other darker pic is not brunette. More like auburn and I think she would look great w. truly borwn hair as well.
what I think is really wierd is that when she has her hair down (especially in loose curls like in The Ugly Truth trailer) the blond is better; but when she has it pulled back or even in a ponytail the brunette really warms her features and looks so much better. I don't reall like her, but I think she can pull off either...
i liked her best in my father the hero where her hair was naturally sandy blond with highlights and her skin was a deep golden color. perfect combo for her.
Wow I just dyed my hair almost the exact same color brown after being blonde. I can't decide which one I like on her.I think she can pull off both looks well though. The blonde is more sexpot while the brunette is a bit more girl-next-door. I'd like to see it down to get a better idea of what it looks like. I wonder why she did it, a new role?
Very cute both ways! I get a Mandy Moore vibe from the brown hair here- might be the similarity of the transition, but I think it also has to do with the similarity of the look!
i like the blonde here, but i think she would look good as a brunette since i believe its more natural on her.
i think she looks good as a brunette
she looks younger as a brunette.
I think she looks softer, younger, and more approachable as a brunette, but more glamorous in the Hollywood sense as a blonde.
I voted blonde as brunette tends to draw color out of her face. However that photo isn't the best example of blonde hair on her, the color is uneven. Really, she's gorgeous no matter what her hair looks like.
It would look really good brunette in a darker hue with some golden highlights.
I don't think this blonde photo of her is very good, but she looks better as a blonde...brunette looks weird on her.
Either way!
I'd say the blonde makes her look old-I like the brown better.
Dieing for more fashion?

I said blond because it looks great... and because that shade of "brunette" is allllll wrong!
I think she looks great in either of them, but I said brunette.. !
I like blonde better
But shes gorgeous both ways.
SHE looks old with the blonde hair....like a supermarket mom who just did her own hair...
