Here's Why Dior's New Bond Street Polish Surprised Me
by Miriam Lacey 0
Dior's new Gris City collection features three polishes inspired by fashionable locales: London's Bond Street, Paris's Avenue Montaigne, and 57th Street in New York. Bond Street ($21), described as a gray London fog infused with a bit of blue, is getting a lot of press attention, so I thought I'd try it on. The color really surprised me, so to see how it looks out of the bottle, just keep reading.

Most polishes are lighter out of the bottle than they are in (note Katy Perry's sparkly blue Last Friday Night lacquer). But in Bond Street's case, I was surprised by just how dark it was without much application. With just two light coats, it wore more like a faded black than a gray, with the subtlest kick of blue. I still like the deep, muted color and the wear has been just fine, but if you buy this, just don't expect a dark slate blue shade.
