Seven Ways to Wear a Wavy Pixie Cut
I can't get enough of Audrey Tautou's wavy pixie. It has the perfect vintage vibe with a fresh, modern appeal. To duplicate this forever-in-style look, apply a texturizing gel or a curl activating spray to damp hair and let air dry. If your hair is short, touch up pieces with a curling iron for a polished yet effortlessly tousled look. If your hair is longer, create a
"fake-out" style by pulling your hair back into a tucked-under ponytail, then curl face-framing sections to shorten. Check out my slideshow for some inspiration on re-creating this gamine style for different hair types.

Hmm. Not a lot going on here for those of us with ridiculously straight hair. But I like my pixie.
1I finally grew my pixie out. I cut it super Mia Farrow short in September the day before Victoria Beckham. Haha, she copied me! Growing it out was super awkward though because the way that the back was always longer than the front, trying to avoid the whole mullet thing. I liked it as a style but I'm glad it's behind me.
2Sorry but I could never cut my hair this short. Ever.
3dmartinxoxo~ I'm growing mine out right now too (until I get bored again), and my trick is texturizing creme for the back. It makes it stand up instead of being all mullet-y.
4I love Audrey Tautou! I think she is adorable.
5I love the pixie look but after a not-so-great short cut 1.5 yrs ago, I am sticking to what looks best on me. I *wish* I had the features to carry off a cute haircut.
6I love short dos! Michelle Williams is my favorite of the bunch :]
7I've never had my hair that short, but it was close. I'm growing it out for the time being, but it'll be short again once my husband and I have kids, ha!
Some of these are more bob than pixie to me. I always thought pixie was much shorter than some of these. Only the Audrey ones are what I thought were considered pixie.
I've had a short cut for most of my adult life.
I love having short hair and lately
my stylist has been chopping it super short (shorter than any of these pics) and I'm glad I trusted her, because it looks great.
But short hair can be tricky, definitely not flattering on everyone.
8And, duh, most importantly, thanks for posting these!
short hair girls represent!
9mondaymoos: i know i did that too! bumble & bumble brilliantine was my best friend for those long months!
10I am growing out my pixie hair and it is a real mess right now. I keep cutting the hair in the back trying to force it in a short bob, but it all wrong, even the color faded to a very unflattering golden coppery brown, whatever ... hating it right now. This is the moment you are tempted to cut it all off again. But I want to stick to my guns now.
11I've had super short hair with a wavy/curly texture. The truth is that I hate the way most of these women look! Norah Jones, Audrey Tatou, and Michelle Williams look terrible! I had to really work with my natural texture to have cute hair when it was that short! I must have had a better hair cut than those women though, because my hair always looked better than theirs!
12Well I think these girls look great, especially Audrey Tatou! She looks super cute with her short hair.
13thanks bella this will really help when my hair becomes more manageable...
14my head is way too big to be able to pull off a pixie cut. I find they only look nice on people with small faces...
15Growing out a pixie. Find an awesome stylist and rock a hipster shaggy mullet, like Sally Hershberger (or whatever her name is). I had a French teacher who had short, wavy hair. Halfway between Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Tautou, very pretty and tres francaise.
16I seriously considering getting a pixie. A rrue pixie, like this one: http://www.buzzsugar.com/2919930?page=0,0,17
I'm just scared of the growing out phase!
17Do it!
Believe me, you won't ever want to grow it out.
18I've had mine for years. I grew it out once and it really isn't that awkward if you have a good stylist on your side. She'll trim things up, let things grow and it will grow out fine.
You just really have to find a good stylist you trust though.
Do it! Do it!
19Fleur fairy I had my hair cut like that for a while, it was great! But not I have it elbow length but ïm so tempted to cut it again..
20Short hair rocks and there are many variations to the Pixie cut. I suggest some of you check out Sarah Hardings Pixie cut afterall you can have long bangs with a pixie!
21Love it! Currently growing out a pixie, looking forward to long locks. Definitely something I'll do again!
