Seven Ways to Wear a Wavy Pixie Cut

I can't get enough of Audrey Tautou's wavy pixie. It has the perfect vintage vibe with a fresh, modern appeal. To duplicate this forever-in-style look, apply a texturizing gel or a curl activating spray to damp hair and let air dry. If your hair is short, touch up pieces with a curling iron for a polished yet effortlessly tousled look. If your hair is longer, create a "fake-out" style by pulling your hair back into a tucked-under ponytail, then curl face-framing sections to shorten. Short hair rocks and there are many variations to the Pixie cut. I suggest some of you check out Sarah Hardings Pixie cut afterall you can have long bangs with a pixie! ;-)

I've had mine for years. I grew it out once and it really isn't that awkward if you have a good stylist on your side. She'll trim things up, let things grow and it will grow out fine. You just really have to find a good stylist you trust though. :) Do it! Do it! ;)

Growing out a pixie. Find an awesome stylist and rock a hipster shaggy mullet, like Sally Hershberger (or whatever her name is). I had a French teacher who had short, wavy hair. Halfway between Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Tautou, very pretty and tres francaise.

I've had super short hair with a wavy/curly texture. The truth is that I hate the way most of these women look! Norah Jones, Audrey Tatou, and Michelle Williams look terrible! I had to really work with my natural texture to have cute hair when it was that short! I must have had a better hair cut than those women though, because my hair always looked better than theirs!

I am growing out my pixie hair and it is a real mess right now. I keep cutting the hair in the back trying to force it in a short bob, but it all wrong, even the color faded to a very unflattering golden coppery brown, whatever ... hating it right now. This is the moment you are tempted to cut it all off again. But I want to stick to my guns now.

Some of these are more bob than pixie to me. I always thought pixie was much shorter than some of these. Only the Audrey ones are what I thought were considered pixie. :? I've had a short cut for most of my adult life. :) I love having short hair and lately my stylist has been chopping it super short (shorter than any of these pics) and I'm glad I trusted her, because it looks great. :) But short hair can be tricky, definitely not flattering on everyone.

I love short dos! Michelle Williams is my favorite of the bunch :] I've never had my hair that short, but it was close. I'm growing it out for the time being, but it'll be short again once my husband and I have kids, ha!
