A couple of weeks ago I told you about 24-hour Mascara from Prescriptives. Frankly, what worried me about this mascara was how to get it off! I understand that it's supposed to stay on for a full day, but to me that just sounds like insurance that it will make it through the night. Come bed time, I want my makeup off—and I don't want to have to scrub my eyes out to remove it, either.

Prescriptives must have been on the same wavelength, because I've just come across a makeup remover solvent to help solve my waterproof mascara problem.

We've now seen many previews for the fall 2007 beauty collections, and I've noticed a lot of deep purples popping up for the eyes and the lips. Personally, I love purples, and they look great on those of you with green and hazel eyes, but that doesn't mean that the rest of you can't wear purples too—especially if they are blended with other colors.

Here's another look at three new collections for fall with strong purple influences. There's The Seducers from Prescriptives, Vanessa Minnillo's Flirt! Collection in Party Purples and lastly Giorgio Armani Leather Collection Eye Mania Shadow Quad. How do you feel about purples for Fall?

Prescriptives is about to release a new treat called Here To Stay 24-Hour Longwear Mascara ($19.50). The mascara was formulated to last for up to 24 hours without smudging, clumping, fading or flaking!

In addition, the flexible comb/brush was designed with 360 degrees of tapered bristles for extra precise application so that it lifts, defines, curls, conditions and separates your lashes. This baby doesn't mess around! It's also customizable; you can wear it alone and it's waterproof, or you can layer it over another mascara and it's water-resistant.

One coat will give you a natural-looking lash, and two coats create a more dramatic, high-gloss effect. Starting in September you will be able to buy it in black and brown at Prescriptives counters nationwide and online.

This fall, we welcome the Seducers Collection from Prescriptives. The gorgeous, rich five-piece collection is available now in limited-edition quantities. This is a cool change, made of purples and blues from the Prescriptives summer Vibrants Collection.

The line was inspired by 1940's Hollywood glamour and is a reflection of what the Fall 2007 Fashion Shows were showing. There are lots of bright colors, and the focus is on groomed brows, bold lips and lined eyes.

The collection includes five new products, including a High Contrast Refillable Custom Compact ($17), a Lucky Stroke Eye Defining Liquid Liner ($19.50) in three colors, a Groom Stick for Brows ($18.50) in four shades, Colorscope Lip Color ($17.50) in four new shades, and Colorscope Eye Color in five new shades ($14). Sunsheen Custom Color Tinted Self Tanner ($27) from Prescriptives stands apart from the rest. It provides an instant tan, of course, but it also gradually develops into a into a lasting tan over a 24 hour period.

I just love the look of this brand new for Spring Chantecaille Les Roses Palette, $105. Although it's expensive, it actually is cheaper to purchase the palette than it is to buy all of the colors separately.

The shades chosen are all very wearable, and the full rose on the blush and bronzer adds a sweet and feminine touch. I happen to really like this brand a lot. I haven't tried this yet, but I can't wait to check it out.
