A Quick Tip For Brighter Eyes

I'm sure you've had friends and makeup artists tell you over and over again that an easy way to make your eyes look brighter, wider and whiter is to add a champagne or pearly white shadow just under your brow bone. Not only does this significantly open up your eyes, but it also makes your brows look cleaner and more defined.

A terrific and natural looking product to make your eyes pop in a jiffy is called High Brow from Benefit Cosmetics ( $20). This creamy, pale pink shade doesn't have any shimmer in it (for those of you who aren't a fan of anything overly frosty and showy) and it blends easily. Just sweep a thin line under the arch of your brows and blend for an instant lift and eye-opening effect. Brilliant!

I love the effect of using a light color along your brown gives you but I saw a makeup artist on TV (can't remember who for the life of me) say that this really ages people and makes you look out of date.

I like this product!!! I'm pretty much a Benefit addict, I own so many of their products, and I bought this one on a whim a few months back. I don't use it everyday or anything, but I do like the effect it creates. Very pretty.

Anastasia makes Eye Lights Matte, it's $21 at Sephora. It's a "pink based flesh tone." That's how they describe it. I couldn't think of a better way too. Whenever I do someone else's makeup, I generally choose around 2 shades lighter than his or her skin and highlight with that.

Nope, Star54, it's nothing like High Beam (which I have and love). It's completely matte and sort of a velvety flat pink (but not as pink as Eye Bright). It opens the eye up and completely hides the odd unplucked hair or misplaced brow filler. High Beam adds a glow, but is too imprecise to work the way High Brow does. Rgrscharm, looks can be deceiving. It's not white so it blends in looking more natural, and it is very highly pigmented, which is probably why it works so well. I'm really fair and it's fine on me, but it sounds as if it is more dramatic (in a good way) on medium and darker skins.

I use this- and loveee it. I have an olive complexion and dark brows and it isn't too light because it does blend well.

just use any white shadow or white eyeliner/jumbo pencil. It much cheaper too!

I've been using this product for 2 years now - and it is AMAZING. It's like a brow lift in a pencil. It lasts forever - so the $18 is a good investment. I'm 40 and it just lifts the eyebrows. It's not sparkley - so you really can't see it. I think it would work for all skin tones - except perhaps the beautiful ebony skin color - a very deep, dark color ... it might show up as too much of a contrast. You can always test it on your skin at Sephora - that's where I bought mine. I've turned on a bunch of friends to this - and they've all loved it as well. One of my favorite products and I love makeup!!

This just looks like the pencil version of High Beam to me, which I use for this exact purpose sometimes.

I'm extremely fair, and I tried this, and it just didn't work for me. I ended up looking more tired and strange than awake... I think this works best on medium/olive/darker skin tones.
