Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser ($6) is one of the most popular drugstore cleansers on the market, but even good products aren't meant for everyone. Reader sukhisukhi found that for skin like hers, this cleanser isn't the best decision. She says:
"I have sensitive, combination skin. I heard a lot of good things about Neutrogena, and decided to try this face wash based on recommendations. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well for me as it does for other people. I felt like it left residue on my skin without really taking any dirt away. Even without any makeup to remove, I felt like the product didn't do much for skin. It's been so bad for me that I've begun breaking out all over my face."

I've never tried Neutrogena products. However apparently they test on animals
1^^^ I heard about that too
2I think I tried this a few years ago and it didn't work for me either. The only drugstore brand that worked for me was Clean & Clear. And even that didn't bring great results
I have never liked Neutrogena products, they don't seem to make a difference on my skin at all. I did not know that they test on animals though, I'll definitely not be buying any Neutrogena products in the future!!
3I use this and I love it...I've never heard about all that happening to everyone before (my whole family uses it too). And i have SUCH sensitive skin, I break out all the time.
4OMG when I read that someone reviewed this product I thought how can something have positive results form this one.. I was right.. I agree 100% with ur review.. this product gave me break-outs ..a lot of them
5Almost every product featured on this site tests on animals. And if they didn't they still rely on previous animal testing to verify the safety of their products. I'm more concerned if a product is safe for me to use and if it works.
Neutrogena is hit or miss. This is the only product from them I've had success with.
6I've not had good luck with most stuff by Neutrogena...
7Definitely had the same experience with Neutrogena.
8It's pretty rare if a company doesn't test on animals. Even though The Body Shop doesn't test on animals themselves, they use ingredients that have been tested on animals.
9I didn't like this one, the writing on the product sold it to me but after using it, it didn't feel good.
