The other night, I came across some great retro beauty ads from a Flickr user named Sugarpie Honeybunch. It's fascinating to look at beauty trends of the past, but it's just as interesting to see how the design aesthetics (and diversity of models) have changed over time. Yeah, some of the stuff is a little dated, but I still love the big eyelashes, pink cheeks, and natural lip look.

Lol @ giggle! These are amazing though, Bella - some of these looks are perfectly fine and modern (the EL lipgloss one) and some are just utterly, utterly awful (most of the hairdos, anything involving white lipstick, and that icky cabbage-head one!)... I wonder of we'll look back on today some time down the road and go "What WERE we thinking?" :-p

These are so great, Bella! I love the bold colors and the ridiculous claims. Although—are you sure you can't be all things to all men with lots of different kinds of lipstick? Cuz it works for me all the time! :nerdgirl:
