It's not quite a lipstick and it's not quite a lip gloss. It's the cult-favorite Clinique Almost Lipstick ($14), with the award winning Black Honey as probably the most popular shade. Reader Breesays calls it her daily must-have. Here's what she had to say:

I don't wear much lipstick, but I've been through about four tubes of this since I started wearing it. I like that it's not super-glossy, can be mixed with liner for a more dramatic look, and isn't impossible to get off.

i have a weird thing about clinique makeup, I don't like the smell of it. All the foundations and stuff that don't have any perfumes, the smell makes me gag. Does this smell different then most other lipstick type things?

black honey is my absolute favorite. i like the gloss too for a little more drama

Black honey is great and looks completely different on every person, but always looks amazing. First Clinique lipstick I bought (nearly nine years ago!) and I still love it to this day.

Oh, and it is more of a stain than a full-on lipstick...that's what I love about it!

Yes, Aimee, Black Honey is an amazing neutral shade that I think would flatter all skintones. It was the first Clinique lipstick I ever bought, and I still like it. The name sounds scary, but it's not at all what you would expect. It's a gorgeous color!

it looks intimidating in the tube (dark purple/almost black) but it's not too dark. you can build the intensity, but at first it looks like a berry-colored stain. i'm a very fair redhead and i love this lipstick.
