Hands down, Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap in Almond ($14) is one of my bath-time favorites. It might not be the cheapest of the bunch, but it has a rich, pure aroma that makes me want to linger in the shower longer than I should. But I don't, since I'm trying to be more conscientious about my water consumption, of course.
Besides the fact that this liquid soap is organic, it's not too gag-me sweet. Since the scent is natural, it doesn't linger around or smell fake all day, unlike certain overly perfumed products can do. My only complaint? At first I was annoyed by the runny nature of this castile soap (it's made purely from vegetable origin), but it produces a nice, foamy lather that is both film-free and moisturizing — so I've learned to deal. Oh, and if you're looking for hours of entertainment, I recommend reading the fine print on the bottle, where you can catch the philosophical rantings straight from the late Dr. Bronner himself.

I love love love Dr Bronner's soaps. I use them for EVERYTHING... hair, face, floors, laundry...lol... peppermint is my absolute fave, makes everything smell so clean and minty!!!! And a bottle lasts FOREVER, you only need the tiniest bit! Oh, I should just work for that company! Lol...
1I've read a bunch of rave reviews for this... and would love to get some! Does it really clean as well as they say? I like to be squeaky clean when I come out of the shower!
2I'm from The Adirondacks. Bronner's is always used when washing hair in the lakes because it's bio-friendly.
3This cleanser is too strong for my skin and hair. It over-strips, leaving my hair and skin dry, brittle, and itchy. But in all fairness, I am sensitive against most cleansers.
4Hmm.. it sounds good. But I'm kind of like GlowingMoon in the sense of having sensitive skin so I think I'll pass. I've tried other organic shampoos/soaps and they have left my hair/skin too dry.
5Sounds nice but too pricey for me right now.
6Ooh, I love this product! It's in my shower right now!
7I've been wanting to try this ever since I saw it mentioned in a magazine, I love the scent of almond
8It is pricier than other options but it is concentrated. I would NOT have paid that for SOAP if it wasn't. Used it for the first time this morning only as body wash and it didn't dry my skin and only four drops lathered my whole body. I'll pay attention to how long the bottle lasts to see if it makes its way into my basket again.
9I've used this since I was a little kid and I love it. Almond and lavender are my favorites.
After Dr. Bronner died they printed the label right on the plastic. Before that it was on paper wrapping and would melt off in the shower before the whole thing could be read.
10Love Dr.Bonner's tea tree soap,I use it diluted in foaming soap dispenser for hand washing.Love that it kills germs and keeps my family heathly!
11I use the lavender for personal (it is strong, so you have to dilute it). Peppermint is amazing for making household cleansers and it also acts as a bug repellant. I live in a old house with collapsible screens and I scrub the window frames with the peppermint Dr. Bonner's to keep out any bugs that might slip past the screen.
12I have lavender and it smells wonderful, like a natural lavender scent should smell.
Side note: It is not moisturizing. The first time I used it straight from the bottle and ended up itchy and dry (But clean!). You're supposed to dilute it 50/50 with water. Works just as well and you won't get all dried out.
13thank you for reviewing this! i was about to buy this last month but passed because it was so watery and thought it might be a rip off. i'm totally going to try this as a household cleanser as suggested.
14today i purchased the tea tree oil and peppermint soaps. i tried the tea tree in the kitchen and it worked great diluted in a spray bottle. it also felt fantastic not having to get a mask and rubber gloves just for a few minutes of cleaning!
15I have use Dr. Bonner's liquid soaps since eighties, when it was truly a magical soap . When they change the paper label, they also change the soap, now the liquid soap is water down look at the label first ingredient water, that did not use to be so. I don't mine paying for a high price soap I just wish they would bring back the original formula, until they do I will be using south of france soaps.
