Review of Pixi Succulent Lip Twin Cheek and Lip Color Duo

Found: A Long-Lasting, Multitasking Cheek and Lip Color

If you have been reading the site for some time, then you will know how much all of Team Bella loves a great multitasker. Such is the case with Pixi's new Succulent Lip Twin ($18), which I recently tried. While this product looks like a lip and cheek tint from the outside, once you unscrew the top portion, it actually also doubles as a lip balm from the inside. Available in four shades, the color I tried (Poppy Red) was a little brighter and warmer than what I'd normally wear during the daytime. However, to see why I'm impressed with the duo, along with a picture of how it looks on my cheeks and lips, just keep reading.

When it comes to consistency, the fruity-flavored balm (aka the product of the tube) is quite nice. It has just a hint of pigment with a very light satiny finish. As for the tint (aka the outer "domed" portion), the pigment is more intense, appearing semimatte on the lips while giving the cheeks just a hint of color. For easier use, I wish the applicator on the balm part was angled or slanted as opposed to flat. But for its long-wearing pigments and multitasking benefits, this is definitely the kind of product you'll want to have in your purse for touch-ups throughout the day.
