To get the look, Gilbert tousled the hair and then pulled it into a low ponytail. She then split the ponytail into two sections, twisted them, and secured the ends. The end was next looped through the center and held down with pins. The result is one of those styles that looks complicated, but is surprisingly simple to pull off.
