SAG Awards Hair and Makeup How-Tos 2013

An asymmetric updo and brick-red lips added a sophisticated finish to Michelle Dockery's edgy Chado Ralph Rucci gown.

For her deep green smoky eye, makeup artist Jordan Long used Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Lilium ($59) and added black shadow along the outer edges. Then he used Illusion D'Ombre shadow in Illusoire ($36), a shimmering taupe, to add sparkle at the lash line. The matte red lip color was Chanel Rouge Allure in L'Exquise ($34).

To achieve Michelle's strong, structured coiffure, stylist Mara Roszak used Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse ($23) on Michelle's wet hair before blow-drying. She then used a 1.25-inch curling iron from midlength to ends for a subtle wave. After brushing the hair, Mara sprayed the brand's Luminous Hairspray ($22) on her fingers, scrunching the ends for a lived-in texture.
