22The skin around the anus has a darker pigment to it. Your inner thighs also have a darker pigment than the rest of your body, but less noticeably so. Porn stars do it, I suppose to perpetuate the stereotype that women should all strive to look like barbie dolls or something.
When they offer male anal bleaching kits, then this will become somewhat less offensive to me. But until then, this is just another attempt to morph women into barbies. Patriarchy at it's finest.

25I can't wait to try this. I am the whitest white girl, I always wondered if there was a way to lighten the area around my anus. It has always been very dark, and it isn't the just the hole, it is the entire area. I just love to be as clean as I can for my boyfriend. I know he will enjoy it too!

27I can perfectly understand why a lot of people find it odd or weird, or ludacris even. A lot of you asked why would people do this. So I'm happy to offer MY point of you.
Heck, 30, 20 years ago I bet people found it rather strange that we (women) started waxing/shaving our public hair. So why wouldn't we find this strange as well, right? I think if I were to bleach my anus I'd do it for a pretty similar reason: for cosmetic reasons. It makes it look nicer (imo) and it has a advantage over waxing: It doesn't hurt.
So why would something that's meant to make your genital area look cleaner and lighter be gross? I don't understand what people find it so disgusting? Is it the fact of touching that area? Don't we all clean our private areas?

Now the reasons why I would and wanna do it. I hope I can help why some of the prejudice (I'm not saying this as a bad thing):
I have a rather light sking color BUT Im a latina* and my anus is really dark. I enjoy anal sex as well as doggy style position. Even in doggy style my partner has a clear sight of this area and it intimidates me. I tried to forget about it but I really makes me unconfortable. I am aware I have a complex with its color. I've also realized that, if this is noticible in this possition it's going to be even more noticible (sp?) doing anal.
My boyfriend often says he's ok with my color, that it doesn't bother him. I appreciate that but it bothers ME. And that's enough for me.
I just think if it's dark it just looks dirty and gross. Especially if it doens't match the color of the rest of your body.
