Setting a New Guinness World Record With Lipstick For Pulmonary Hypertension
A Great Reason to Wear Blue Lipstick
by POPSUGAR Beauty 1
Have you ever heard of pulmonary hypertension? Well, don't feel alone if you haven't. The rare lung disease, which is often misdiagnosed or confused with a host of other illnesses, has a very low profile — even among medical professionals. That's where Pucker Up 4 PH comes in.
Between now and October, the group is campaigning to raise awareness about the condition by collecting 40,000 lipstick prints sent in by people worldwide. The goal is to set a Guinness World Record. Blue lips are one of pulmonary hypertension's symptoms, so they're asking that you slather on your best blue lipstick or face paint for the endeavor. Participating only costs you the price of postage, it's a good cause, and if anyone asks you why your lips are blue, you can help by informing them about the disease.
