Shu Uemura's Hair Ceremony Room in San Francisco

No matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, we just can't replicate the blissful effects of an in-salon shampooing. But in this case, we're not complaining. Shu Uemura Art of Hair recently revealed its "ceremony room" in San Francisco's Joseph Cozza Salon, one of only three in the nation to have such a space. Tucked away from the main salon, the room gives clients the privacy to relax and unwind during the shampoo-and-condition process. There's also a bliss-inducing head massage that practically guarantees less stress. Add glossy lacquered walls and chilled-out music, and you might never want to be shampooed elsewhere ever again.
