7 Aging Surprises You Might Not Expect
Getting older isn't the terrifying thing so many people think it is. With that said, yes, your looks will change over time, but the tradeoff is that you'll get wiser, too. (I like to think of it as beauty evolution.) There are things you already know are coming, but guess what? There are surprises, too. Read on to see some of the first changes that could make you arch an eyebrow or two.

I have to agree - the older I get, the less self-conscious I am. It's a good feeling - a group of my friends & I went rollerskating recently & we were the "old people" there (mid-to late 20's). I was skating along great for ages, then suddenly bit the dust really, really hard - flat on my back right at the feet of some teenage girls. Instead of getting embarrassed while staring up at their horrified faces, I laid there & laughed my ass of for ages. I though about it - I would not have been so carefree about the situation when I was younger & less self-confident.
1Somethings about getting older are great!
Oh, I forgot to add, they've done studies about twins & depression - the way it affects their appearance. It's an aging thing people don't really expect or know much about. The stress & anxiety lead to actual physical changes in the body, including the skin. I know from personal experience, dealing with the root causes is imperative for your overall physical & mental health & keeping your skin pretty
2Plus, a smiling happy face appears so much younger & attractive than a sad face that's been through the wringer of plastic surgery.
I agree with u Mikaela81...I can handle situations much better and Im definitely more comfortable in my own skin now and it will only get better with age:)
3As a 35 yr old routinely mistaken for 10 years younger, I must be doing something right.
Self-confidence and the ability to laugh at oneself does grow with age and are both important lessons. Self-sufficiency increases as well... I just like myself more and worry less about other people liking me.
4I'm sorry, but there was nothing surprising here at all. Each item/aging problem is 'common knowledge'. So.... thanks anyway, but where was the surprising info. Okay, backup......... deleted.
5Im afraid to get older! It's nice with all the good things that come, moving out, marriage, freedom but it's still scary.
