A Simple (but Effective!) Way to Beat Dry Skin
by POPSUGAR Beauty 6
Winter often brings us dry, itchy skin. (How considerate.) You probably already know that exfoliating with a body scrub will reveal softer skin. But the method you use can make a big difference in how well the endeavor turns out.
If you use a salt or sugar scrub, you'll get better results if your skin is dry, not wet. (Water dissolves the salt or sugar.) So strip down and apply the scrub before you get in the shower. Rub it all over to slough off the rough skin. Rinse it off in the shower and marvel at how smooth and soft your skin is. Afterward, pat your skin dry and lotion up. No more alligator skin.
