When I heard about The Sphynx ($15) razor last year, I was eager to get my hands on one, mostly because I have a small obsession with travel-size products. Shaving on-the-go can be a nightmare, mostly because razors are too long, the cap can come off, even travel-size shaving-cream cans are large, etc.

There have been a few travel-size razors on the market, which I love, but none are like The Sphynx. The rotating setup of the product makes shaving a cinch — it's three products in one. Check it out!

The Sphynx

There are several color and pattern options to choose from, but all of them are compact and easily fit into your purse. Many options are unisex, so you can use one or give it to your significant other.

Step 1: Wet your legs

What's missing from most travel shaving products is that there's nothing to wet your legs before the shave. Doing this allows the hair to become soft; a wet shave removes hair more easily than a dry shave. Also, have you tried a dry shave? It's terrible.

Just fill up your pump with water and put it back into The Sphynx. Then you can water down your legs whenever you need. If you're worried about leaks, fear not — no water was seen on or in my purse.

Rotation

The way The Sphynx works is that it rotates from water to soap to razor, so everything you need to shave is all in one compact.

Step 2: Soap

Instead of dealing with gel foams, The Sphynx includes a soap bar to lather up your legs.

The Razor

The Sphynx comes with two razors. Granted, it's a single blade — you aren't going to get the quickest shave possible, but it does remove the hair swiftly. You might have to go over each area twice to get the close shave you desire.

You can get your own in March.
