Believe it or not, stick straight hair is back in style. So get your dusty flat iron out of storage and make sure it is in working condition for Spring. We've already seen tons of straight hair on the Fall runways and now again at the Oscars from Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Ellen Pompeo, Kelly Preston and Zizi Zhang. Here are some new products that can help you achieve your own Oscar winning look.

Oscar Blandi Raffinata Pure Straight, $19, is a balm designed to smooth out any type of hair without weighing it down. It acts as a straightening agent by deeply penetrating into the cuticle of your hair as well as provides protection against heat damage caused from styling tools.
Simply rub a dime sized amount into your hands and rub evenly all over your towel-dried hair beginning from the ends and working your way up toward your roots. Then, blow dry hair straight. You will notice this product significantly reduces your drying time!

Frédéric Fekkai Straight Away, $17.50, is a featherweight styling balm that helps to achieve straight hair when blow drying.
Even if your hair is naturally wavy or curly, it will help relax your hair instantly. It washes out - so it's perfectly safe for permed hair...and since it's made from pure botanicals, it smells delicious!

I didn't even know straight hair was out of style I've been wearing it stick straight for years. Good to know!
1I dont know if i am for the stick straight thing, but i like straight hair with some shape to it.
2ooh! i must check that out.. i love oscar blandi products.. especially the jasmine oil ones, they smell nice!
3Did it ever go away? It's all I see on everyone.
4Bleah. Nothing about me is straight. I like waves & mine are natural. My friend had kinky-curly hair & she was so excited when she got it straightened. It was "different", but imo, it made her nose look really huge.
5I can't get my hair to do anything BUT be straight!!!
6fab - have you ever seen the haircut on leigh from misshapes?
7i covet her hair! i wonder what products she uses....

Davines Defining System Relaxing Fluid is another really great straightening product.
8i have naturally curly hair and occasionally will get bored and straighten it. i use the frederic fekkai straight away and WOW it gets straight. granted i have to blow dry it and run a straightener through it to get rid of some of the remaining kinks, but this is the best straightening product i've come across for curly hair.
and i find that if i straighten it, don't wash it for a day or so, then go back to curly the curls get super defined. don't know why....
9Quietriott-I, too have naturally curly hair that I like to straighten every so often, and I find the same thing-after it's been straightened, I have a really good "curly hair day"
10the next time I wash it. I like Paul Mitchell's Skinny Serum.
i have curly hair, and it takes forever to straighten it, even with a ton of product. it never
seemed as if straight hair was out!
11I like body and bounce...stick straight isn't as beautiful to me(hence, gwenyths look now). Maybe if it has a little wave in the right spots. I have naturally wavy hair and it's looong, so no way I am going to spend every waking moment straightening it! Although I do it sometimes for fun. I think whatever is natural on you and your face shape is best. HAHAHAHAHa..yamahamama-that was hilarious
it's true though, some people can't pull off straight, it accentuates certain
eh-hem....features.
12woops i meant gwyneth...hehehe
13demi can pull off straight sooo well.
14I've never tried any product similar to this. My hair is one of those spongy, curly types. Do this products really work?
15I need some curve and lift, stick straight looks bad on me, and it's so 90's.
