I actually use the regular curling iron and just don't use the clamp-it has the same effect minus the price!

Thanks for watching the video! (BTW, love your avatar. Oh, Jake...) It's definitely an investment, but if you use hair tools a lot, it may be worth the splurge. It has a two-year warranty, which is pretty solid. It's ceramic, and it heats up quickly and evenly to 360 degrees. (Unfortunately, SOMEONE is clumsy and burned herself while trying to curl and talk with a friend. Ugh.) Anyway, it's definitely good quality -- and if you care about this sort of thing, Sultra was used on the set of SATC 2. If I were you, I'd keep an eye on the local Sephora and see when the product comes in. They are planning some in-store events where people can try the iron to see what it's like. I think that would be a good opportunity to find out if it's something you need. My roommate tried the Bombshell, too, and she was similarly blown away by how easy it was to get that kind of curl. Sultra sent this iron to us to test out, but I would probably save up to buy it anyway. With hair tools, I feel like if you're going to use something frequently, it makes sense to save up. On some things, there's not a huge difference between the expensive tool and inexpensive one (this is why my barrel brush is Revlon) but when it comes to irons and dryers, I invest extra. Because otherwise, you "save money" by buying a $20 iron, but if it isn't good, you wind up spending tons of money on treatments and haircuts to fix or eliminate heat damage. Just my two cents. :)
