The secret to great hair and makeup is that there is no secret. You just have to know a few tricks and be able to pick out the right products. We got the scoop on how five stars' stylists and makeup artists created their leading ladies' latest beautiful looks. Whether you love Taylor Swift's eye shadow or you're coveting Lea Michele's hair, we've got the lowdown on getting the look for less (money and effort).
Sexy waves like Lea Michele 's aren't difficult to create at home. For this look, stylist Mark Townsend took three-inch sections of Lea's hair and sprayed them with Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray ($4). He then wrapped the hair around a large barrel curling iron, leaving the bottom two inches out of the iron so they'd be a little straighter.
Taylor Swift 's bright blue eye shadow was a red carpet standout. Her go-to color: Cover Girl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Turquoise Tempest #435 ($4).
Love Selena's creamy petal-pink lipstick look? She's wearing Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Pink Satin ($8).
The secret to Jenna Ushkowitz's great texture doesn't come from the women's side of the hair care aisle. Stylist Theodore Leaf rubbed Suave Professionals Men Styling Paste ($3) into the length of her hair to create separation.
Ellen DeGeneres had a gorgeous glow at the Teen Choice Awards. Her makeup artist, Heather Currie, says the secret to making Ellen's skin look so good is in the application. Instead of applying Cover Girl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation ($13) dry, she used a damp makeup sponge, which gave the look its translucence and dewiness.
