Appropriately, National Chocolate Day is only a few days from Halloween, and while we already have bags of miniature chocolate bars tucked in our cabinets (for the trick-or-treaters, of course), we'll be indulging with a few calorie-free options in the form of beauty products. So if your guilty pleasure is a chocolaty confection, you can satisfy your sweet tooth in the form of delightfully flavored powders, balms, and more, like the ice-cream-flavored Lip Smacker Mini Milk Chocolate Lip Balm ($6) above. And for more ways to manage your chocolate cravings, just keep clicking!
The Amazon is home to one of the most potent superfruits in the world: the camu camu berry. But don't expect to be seeing it lining your local fruit stand anytime soon. Since it doesn't necessarily travel well in its natural state, perhaps the easiest way to enjoy the benefits of the camu camu berry is through beauty products. Find out exactly why brands are loving this amazing berry, and how you can reap its benefits, when you keep reading.
- Nivea Touch of Cashmere Cream Oil Body Wash ($6) — With the word cashmere in the name, you know this one is going to feel soft. But it's the light scent, a powdery and subtly sweet fragrance, that will please the I-hate-strong-aromas crowd.
- The Body Shop Candied Ginger Shower Gel ($8) — Yes, it sounds sugary-sweet, but thanks to the zesty scent of ginger, this soap-free gel is warm, rich, but not too cloying.
- Otter Creek Spit Shine Body Wash ($18) — It's technically a man's product, and the name isn't the most inviting, but what lies within this black and white packaging is pure sexiness. A mix of leather, coffee, and cedar, this lather is not for the faint of heart — but it sure does smell seductively inviting.
- Organic Surge Gentle Meadow Shower Gel ($6) — And for times when you don't need to be so riled up, turn to this naturally derived cleanser, which features soothing, relaxing scent of lavender and the mood-enhancing benefits of geranium.
For some of us, dry weather can oftentimes mean dry skin. Luckily, The Body Shop has come to the rescue with a cleverly packaged ultra-hydrating Body Butter Duo ($18). Yes, you heard right: duo — as in two lotion formulas in one convenient pot. The design is literally split down the middle, providing both a lighter, more traditional moisturizer for all-over use and a thick, super-intensive butter for rough spots like elbows, knees, and heels.
Available in four sweet scents, each duo contains shea butter, cocoa butter, nut oil, and beeswax. I've been using the Body Butter Duo in Floral Acai for about a week now, and my skin feels smoother, softer, and healthier overall. Not only do both formulas moisturize well, but they also do so without being greasy, and they dry quickly. If you're in the market for new body lotion but have areas that tend to get more parched than others, The Body Shop duo is a great bet.
We've all seen someone who overdoes the bronzer and ends up looking more Pigpen than Penelope Cruz. Bronzers tend to grab onto dry, dead skin and give off the appearance of a dirty face — especially when applied with a heavy hand. We caught up with makeup artist and bronzing aficionado Shalini Vadhera, whose biggest prebronzing recommendation was exfoliation. "It's really important to use a good face scrub at least twice a week," Vadhera said. "You need to remove any dry or dead skin and create a smooth canvas. You'll notice that your bronzer application is much smoother and more natural looking."

Do you feel it in the air? It's party season, and that means you probably have more than just one festive social function marked in your calendar. But it also probably means you have very little time to actually get ready for said soirées. That's why I've devised this quick and simple multitasking guide for going from work to holiday gatherings in a flash. To see the step-by-step list, just keep reading.
I have tried so many cleansers that I couldn't possibly list them all. Basically, I've tried a new one every month since I was 14. I couldn't find that miracle product. I found it in this cleanser. I use the foaming version. It is gentle so my skin doesn't break out. It keeps my skin clean and my pores clear so I don't get new breakouts. My skin stays neutral, no overshine and no dryness. I don't even have to use a moisturizer afterwards, but I do anyway. This is the first time I've gone back for more.
Now, it's your turn. Perhaps you'd like to add to the reviews of facial cleansers, or perhaps there's a makeup brush you can't live without. Tell us all about it. You know the drill.
Reader Fashion_doll24 thinks that The Body Shop's Lip and Cheek Stain ($14) is a purse essential. Formulated for all skin tones, this multitasking gel formula gives a wash of color to cheeks and lips. Take it away, Fashion_doll24:
I'm a big fan of this stain, mainly because I'm not good at finding the right shade of lip gloss for my complexion, and this is definitely a case of "one shade fits all." Also, I like the fact that your lips don't feel sticky as they will when using a gloss. I rarely use it on my cheeks, not because the color is off or anything but because I prefer a powder blush.
