Fried frizzy hair isn't only a summer problem, winter weather can cause the same results. Since there is a lack of moisture in the air, often hair becomes prone to static and split ends. One way to ward off frizz is by using a good hydrating shampoo. Also, don't towel dry your hair too vigorously after a bath or shower and be mindful of over-blow drying. Weekly deep conditioning treatments are a must as are regular trims to remove dead ends.

For three more frizz fighting tips to follow, read more.
- STEP 1: Make sure you're using the correct products. Keep an eye out for moisturizing ingredients such as avocado oil, almond oil, aloe and vitamins A, E and B. Steer clear of sodium laureth sulfate and tea laurel sulfate; two drying and damaging detergents.
- STEP 2: Use the appropriate tools. Make sure that hair is prepped with heat safe styling products and blow dry hair with a vented round ceramic brush with boar bristles.
- STEP 3: Choose a good finishing product. Shine boosting sprays or drops containing silicone are wonderful ways to seal in moisture. Just remember to use them sparingly and keep them away from the roots of your hair. The goal is too look polished, not greasy.

Ooo yes! My hairstylist hooked me up with an AWESOME hair treatment and it makes my hair SO nice!!!
1Thankfully I don't have to worry about this.
2That picture is awesome bella.
I just had a trim and it made a world of a difference in the quality of my hair at the ends.
3Yay! I just got a trim yesterday as well and purchased a new shampoo that is free of sodium laureth sulfate (Bedhead Superstar)and a lovely smelling leave-in conditioner (Bedhead Ego Boost)! Also, my Bespoke T3 dryer makes my hair shiny and somehow helps cut down on static!
4A Weekly Hot oil treatment works as well. Make sure to get the best out of it, leave it overnight. Before you shampoo the next day, wrap a warm towel on your head for about 5 mins so the oil can hydrate your scalp.
5Tamanna: how "hot" should the oil be? And I guess you meant olive oil?
6I have such fine, straight hair that it doesn't get frizzy, but it DOES get dry. I love moisturizing shampoos.
7Not hot as in burn your scalp, Julienne.
just warm to touch. U could use olive oil.
I use coconut. I know VO5 has a hot oil treatment. I haven't used that though.
8I deep condition three times a week, and always before using any heat. I also use Lacio Lacio leave-in to ward off frizzies.
