Michael, the store's senior key holder, showed us how to do Lush's face demo. This minifacial differs depending on your skin needs, but here's what he taught us for dull, parched skin:

On a dry face, Michael applied calamine- and seaweed-based Aqua Marina cleanser using soft upward strokes, left it on for a couple minutes, then removed it with a towel soaked in lukewarm water. Next came Full of Grace serum, to hydrate skin and prep it for The Sacred Truth mask. "Putting a mask over serum helps tone and pulls the mask in deeper," Michael explained.

I actually had a big chat with a Lush shop assistant on Saturday about their environmental/no animal testing policy as I stopped by when they were advertising their new Fighting Animal Testing petition (it's one of my big things). It was so interesting; she for instance mentioned they've dropped suppliers at the last minute before, the same day they learnt the suppliers had gone back to animal testing, even if that meant Lush temporarily running out of stock on some products.
