The mood backstage at Tracy Reese Spring 2014 was filled with fun. The Latin music that filtered in from the runway sound check bolstered the Afro-Cuban beauty theme. Ouidad creative director Morgan Willhite embraced each model's natural hair texture to create a textured bun with tendrils flowing around the face.
For makeup, Mally Roncal used a smudging technique to give the eyeliner a slept-in look. The lip was high-gloss and even the brows had a touch of lip gloss for shine. But the element we always look forward to from the Tracy Reese show is the manicure. This season the windowpane nail art by Sally Hansen was inspired by the gingham and checkered prints of the collection. Lead manicurist Tracylee used Mojito, Carnivale, and Batbano Blue (colors releasing this March) as a base for the simple black design.
And as with all of Reese's other shows, no detail went unnoticed. For the finishing touch, Reese requested that models be swathed in temporary tattoos.
