Every season, the cool downtown girls head to Vena Cava to see what they'll want to wear to their art-gallery jobs. This time around, the collection featured motorcycle jackets, high-waisted jeans, and dyed leggings.
Working off of the clothing's dark color palette, makeup artist Vincent Longo — working with Beauty.com — created a simple but striking makeup look: a shock of orange at the lashline. "It's a contrast to the collection," he said, "to give life to the dark tones." While the skin was matte, lips had a creamy finish thanks to his Velvet Riche lipstick in Hush Delight.
And the hair? This season's Vena Cava girl, said the lead stylist Ted Gibson for Beauty.com, is hip but not too crazy. "She's the girl who danced all night and slicked some gel in her hair the next morning," he said of his inspiration. To get the rockabilly-chic look, he pushed hair back from the sides for a fun, devil-may-care style. Check it out in these pictures:
