What's Your Shaving Lather of Choice?

OK, I confess. I used to use soap as a shaving cream. After less than stellar results — and a rapidly depleting supply of Band-Aids — I've changed my ways.

Lately I've been loving Philosophy Razor Sharp Shaving Gel ($18). It's got much better slip, and it isn't quite as drying as the ol' bar of soap routine. What's your shaving preference?

Don't shave... only epilation... much softer and it lasts over 2 weeks....

I use baby oil after a friend recommended it. It gets a really smooth shave while moisturizing the legs. And it's cheap! I've heard olive oil works too.

If you use men's shaving cream, wash your legs with body wash so you don't smell like men's shaving cream. That smell to me is cheap and a turn off. I feel like people know I've been shaving with Barbasol when the smell that scent.

I use Depth brand shave cream, I like the Sea Berry scent, the only place I've seen it is Whole Foods.

i just body wash normally, but i'm intrigued by this conditioner thing. i never thought if it, but i'll definitely have to try it.

the best one I've ever used is Anthony Shaving Cream from Sephora. The best. Never cut myself once and I shave FAST

I use soap on my armpits and shaving cream on my legs.I generally don't use soap to shave as it washed off too quickly so I end up shaving dry. Owch!I'd like to try baby oil as I'm always left with a gnarly rash after shaving.

I use gel....the really good smelling gel.

I use moisturizing conditioner. It leaves my legs feeling very smooth and is a lot cheaper than any of the "real" shaving gels or creams (and usually smells better, too).

I'm with Dino Dino, conditioner all the way. It makes the surface super smooth and easier to shave than a shaving cream/gel/foam

I use the Schick Intuition with the built in soap for sensitive skin and it is amazing, I couldn't live without it. I will have to try the baby oil thing because I accidently bought the ones that aren't for sensitive skin and the fragrance burns my legs and I get razor burn.
