Who's this dude, you ask? He's Stuart Phillips, a hair stylist who charges £150 (around $300) for a haircut — but who's fetched £8,000 to cut one of his wealthy client's hair. He's coiffed the Hoff as well as Ivana Trump, but one newspaper columnist decided to see how a high-priced haircut would transform her looks. I do like the final product, but not for that much money. Prices have gotten out of control when it comes to hair cutting and styling.

I basically agree with most of what you guys have said so far. She looks much better before her hair cut. And I -definitely- agree with Hautie...this ain't a bob! It's some ugly old lady hairstyle. I think it aged her about 10 years TWT;; I would have CRIED if I paid that much for a hair cut and ended up with something like that. I'll stick to my trendy Asian hairstylists, kthx.

I don't think this magical new haircut is very good for her either. But the truth is, no matter how much you pay for a haircut, it's going to last the same amount of time!

That's ridiculous. I've been looking for a stylist in my area for a complete hair make-over and I'm willing to pay almost anything for the service. Oprah's Great American Haircut inspired me. :) But if I paid $300 for THAT, I'd want a refund. No, I'd DEMAND a refund.

Bella I agree, not everyone can pull off short hair. I hate how in most "makeovers" they always chop the hair.

It's an ok haircut but nothing earth shattering. I've gotten much better haircuts by my girl in NYC. The quiz part was pretty easy too!

i dont think it is styled well. i mean like if her bangs were more sweepy and i dunno i think that the blue background washes her out which is bad. i mean the cut is fine...id like to see it closer. but its pretty not exciting. i feel like i do that haircut, i mean it looks like a shape ive done. but you know its like my bosses always tell me, only 20% of why people come back to a stylist is actual technical skill, 80% is experience and that stylist's personality etc. so i do hope that girl had a super fab time at the salon!

I don't think it's at all flattering. It has no movement. I don't actually see a 'precision' in that because of the way her bangs lay, it's really like it's against her hairs will. I think of Posh's hair and it seems like a 'precision' cut. It looks right from all angels. This one is a mess.

First... a great "bob-cut" is suppose to be one length at the base line. That is not a bob. That is some terrible Mom cut circa 1978... with long layers. Did he color her hair too? Wow. I am just surprise that any hair cutter would consider this cut on her flattering. She is a cute girl with a nice face and good cheek bones. Could he not put a few curls from the curling iron on that cut and give it a little bit of volume? Then again this girl is in the UK... maybe this sad flat looking cut is the rage there...

I think the Bob looks terrible, it makes her look uglier and older and I think the color is too dark for her aswell.

It's pretty obvious if they're truly "before" and "after". However, I have to say this is not a great cut. It's not flattering, and as a bob, I think it should either be completely asymmetrical or absolutely precise to look nice. Not worth 150, DEFINITELY not worth 8000!(sorry, the pound sign is difficult to use on the Japanese keyboard...grrr) However, there was a a survey a while ago about haircuts being worth it...I payed ￥30000(about $275) for my last cut, tone and highlight, and the cut has lasted 6 months, looks great growing out, and is really flattering! So, sometimes, what you pay is what you get...just not in this case, sadly.
