Which Opera-Going Beauty Looked Best?

Last night's Metropolitan Opera premiere of "La Fille Du Regiment" drew a crowd of the young, sophisticated, and famous. Emmy Rossum, Rinko Kikuchi, Diane Kruger, Leighton Meester, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Naomi Campbell all donned their best dresses and put their best faces forward. Who do you think nailed the look best?

i love leighton's look. yeah, it's heavy, but i think it's glamorous and totally opera-appropriate.

I would have liked Leighton's look had her face matched the rest of her. It looks pale and shiny compared to her tanned decollette.Emmy looks best I think.

Hate to say it but Leighton Meester looks 15 years older. And hate to say it, but I like Ginnifer's look.

I like all of the looks but I do agree, Leighton Meester's makeup does look a little too heavy. And, I may be the only one, but I actually kind of like Rinko's Kikuchi's hair. It's very geometric, Vidal Sasson circa the 60's. It suits her face but more importantly, her somewhat eccentric style personality. I don't see Rinko Kikuchi as a long and layered type of gal. The cut looks like a longer version of Agyness Deyn's pixie.

Judging by appearance only, Naomi. Rinko looks awful. Most Asian people outgrow the rice bowl haircut during childhood. Why she went back is beyond me. (Before anybody jumps down my throat, let me say I'm Asian, so I'm speaking from cultural experience. I'm not being racist, just commenting on her unflattering choice of hairstyle. And yes, I happened to have that ugly requisite hairstyle when I was a child.)
