Who Couldn't Use Some Pazazz? (Uh, Me.)

One of the best (or worst?) parts of the internet is its ability to archive just about anything. For instance, take this Clairol ad. I remember seeing it, thinking the hairstyles were amazing, and begging my mother to buy the tinted mousse that would make me as cool as the women in the commercial. She refused, proving that sometimes mothers really do know best. Have a look — did any of you use this stuff?

I was a product of the '80's, too, and LOVED this stuff :)! I wasn't allowed to dye my hair, so this was the next best thing for me, and it allowed me to see myself as a redhead ... which I became as soon as I was allowed to color my hair for real ;) !The ad is cheesy, sure, but someday there's going to be a slew of people critiquing the ads we love today ... it's just how it goes.

I used Pazazz when I was in middle school! But I didn't know anything about hairstyling then and couldn't get those gravity-defying results until a couple of years later, by which point I was using the infamous Aqua Net. I'm not embarrassed to admit it. The '80s were fun.

I was a kid in the 80s, so I never really had the time to get into these crazy looks...I did have a perm in the late 80s, but that was about it. I don't even remember these commercials...I'm surprised. I usually remember all things 80s from my childhood.

I'd actually consider trying to product, it might actually be kind of cool...Minus the 80's hair. I think Clairol still makes some kind of sparkling/shimmering gel in the Herbal Essences line.

Ahh...the 80's...a period in time which I'm glad I wasn't around to experience.I don't think there's actually anything wrong with the product being advertised here, it's just that the models' hair styles were atrocious D:The way it was advertised was pretty bad too. With the sparks coming out of the can...and the bad camera work...and the "PAZAZZ PAZZAZ PAZZAZ". Freaking hilarious though.

OMG! I used to love that mousse! I was in high school in the eighties and embraced all the fads to the fullest! I'm not ashamed to say I love everything 80's. It was a time filled with fun and great memories for me. :)

I'm glad I was a kid in the 80's and I avoided bad eighties hair. I spent my childhood with long hair and bangs (regular ones, not 80s bangs) so I'm not embarrassed about my hair from back then.

I was a little young, but I actually did use that stuff, the bronze one I think. My Mom was a bellydancer and got it for her, so that's how I used it. It was awesome then, and it's awesome now! I'd still totally use it!

actually, if made less sticky and cool this looks like a good product. Sort of like Bare Escuentuals Shimmer powder, but for hair! I like the 80's. There has been no other era in which anything tacky and colorful goes.
