Who's Your Favorite Celebrity Makeup Artist?

Celebrity makeup artists can command upwards of $10,000 a day for their services. Multiply that by all the days in the year, plus double-duty when it comes time for awards seasons, and you've got yourself one outrageous salary. All of these artists have loyal celebrity clients that request their company across the globe, wherever it is they may be working. Can you guess who some of their famous-faced clients are? I think that Paul Starr is a genius, and I love the natural effect that Nick Barose achieves. Who is your favorite celebrity makeup artist?

My favorite artist is Hank Hoffman ....he knows how to bring out all your best features....absolutely fabulous....it is always such a treat to watch him at work. Such great talent .

My favourite is the British Celebrity make-up artist Roo Morcom, I had my make-up done by her and have never felt so amazing! It was a real treat, she does all the UK Society ladies and weddings as well as loads of celebrities. She only used organic and mineral products which I think is really important these days. If you are ever in the UK look her up I recommend it, a life changing experience for me!!!

Francois Nars. He has a sense of fun that is missing from a lot of makeup artists, but he can temper that and pull of sophisticated or subtle. Love him!

I admire the work of all of these makeup artists (the ones Ive heard of anyway) but when I look at what a makeup artist like Mally has done, it's usually "big smokey eyes and hot pink lips with tan tan skin." Sometimes she does pale lips too. It looks good...but I'd like to see more range and creativity. I voted for Gucci Westman because she's done some really creative/unusual looks for fashion shows, but it is always very beautiful. Her lancome lines were great too. Kevyn Aucoin of course is legendary. I have two of his books, and they were makeup inspiration at a young age...I learned a lot of good things from him. But I couldn't vote for Kevyn cuz he wasn't on the list :(

Pat McGrath, all of her work is just absolutely beautiful! Kevyn Aucoin was the greatest. I really love Laura Mercier's work for more natural celebrity style and Carol Shaw is great too.

my vote goes to Nick Barose coz he's Thai and he always brings good tips for the girls who read Seventeen Thailand :)He also did make up for Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Misha Barton and Scarlett Johanson! (i read from Seventeen too :P)
