In a somewhat odd reversal of expectations, celebrities looked subdued at the MTV Movie Awards, but they were more daring at the CFDA Awards. These six women strayed from the typical long-and-flowing hairstyles — and since I love to see risks, you'll find no complaints here. Who do you think pulled it off the best?

Really none of them are great. I am not getting the slick down hair, that looks harsh on anyone...or the oily face look. I am truly baffled by the recent trends in general when it comes to hair and makeup.

Mandy looks gorgeous, and (though i hate to admit it) Hilary's hair is flawless. I really don't like Maggie Gyllenhaal's new blond9ish) hair, though - I love her dark hair and how beautiful it looks with her pale skin and big blue eyes - why in the world would she do that? I'm sorry, but it makes her look like an old lady...

I love Hilary's hair. She always wears this hairstyle but it always looks pretty. Victoria's hair looks cute too really different but classy.

I agree with the first comment "Maggie Gyllenhaal's is the only hair that looks interesting...?" She was also the only one who didn't so the same thing that has be done for a while on the red carpet, plus her hair looks done, but not over done. GREAT
