Upon initial sight of this bottle of Perfume de Sonsierra ($32), I thought, "Harrumph! I didn't know By Kilian had come out with another new scent." Turns out, though, that the Tienda Sonsierra winery has just started bottling its 2007 rioja in some rather similar-looking flacons. It's a clever idea, putting your wine in a fragrance bottle, especially since perfume lovers and oenophiles share a passion for notes, aging, and layering. Does the idea of packaging other stuff as cosmetics appeal to you as a buyer, though, or would pouring out a glass of this wine make you feel like you were about to down fancy perfume?
