Would You Still Shave if Nobody Cared About It?

Does anybody really look forward to shaving their legs? My guess is no. Most women, I suspect, shave because that's what we're used to doing. It's a grooming chore, not something we really look forward to. This got me wondering: If nobody cared one way or the other whether you shaved your legs, would you kick the Bic? Or would you keep shaving?

I'd still shave, just not as often. I can't stand the hairy leg feeling, especially in jeans. I have shaving though. I'd wax if it weren't for having to let the hair grown out so it's long enough to wax.

I would not stop shaving!!! I realise that being a female in the time we live in, the society we live in, this so-called 'civilisation', and the way I was brought up in this world, probably has a lot to do with WHY I want to shave, even if nobody is watching, but I still like to think I shave for myself, to feel and look good, yes it is an aspect of Western beauty criteria, and perhaps I am being naive to think I would, but the fact remains, I WANT to, and it is not a torture to me at all to invest time in it and to do the actual act, regardless of whether I have been brainwashed into it or not by ouf society.

I wish we could just be born with no gross body hair.. even tho there's obviously a purpose and we're all too dumb to leave nature alone. :) haha

I don't like the sight of hairy legs and armpits..but I'd still feel less self-conscious and would let it grow a little bit, bushy under arms are gross imo. And look smelly tooo :S

I voted Undecided because I already don't shave my legs, my armpits, etc. The only thing I shave is my upper lip. I love the feeling of the natural hair on my legs; it's far better than the feeling of just-shaved legs, in my opinion.

I would give it up in a hearbeat. My legs break out really bad after I shave, no matter what I do. I only shave once a month now as it is. Thank goodness the hair on my legs are thin and blonde.

My husband says I'm like a cricket because I like to rub my legs together when they're silky smooth!!! I'd shave anyway!! I do it for me.

I've gotten my legs waxed so many times that I barely have leg/bikini/armpit hair anymore. I love love love smooth legs. Especially my calves, I love my smooth calves in a pencil skirt & pumps!

I would still shave my legs and my "neather" regions...I mean it makes me feel sexy and womenly when I do...and I would probably do my armpitts too...so yes I would haha!

If my legs would never see the light of day again, I wouldn't bother shaving. I had to shave my legs every single day this past summer and it quickly became the bane of my existence- hurrah for the return of my black opaques!
