Much like Penelope Cruz, I've got a sister who's a total knockout. She's taller, thinner, her smile is brighter and she's naturally blonde. I've always loved having such a pretty role model in my life, but I'm no saint.
Things are good now, but there was definitely a time when I was a little bit jealous that she never had to dye her roots. I'd buy cooler hair scrunchies and better lip gloss than her just to make myself feel good. What about you? Are you competitive with your siblings when it comes to your looks?

Comme des Garcons
Not at all...although my sister is absolutely beautiful. She's tall (5'8"), super-thin (size 0/2), beautiful huge blue eyes, perfect porcelain skin...she used to go to modeling school and do bridal and local fashion shows when she was younger. Almost everytime she meets someone new, they ask if she's a model or has considered it. I have always pushed her to try out for ANTM, but she'd just laugh it off (and now she's too old, 28). She's very modest and quite humble--I don't think she has any clue how gorgeous she really is.
So even with all of that, I've never felt competitive with her...I'm okay with my looks and have never felt "jealous" of her or threatened by her. Okay, wait...I AM jealous of her height (I'm only 5'3)!! But I love her and support her and don't have a competitive relationship with her at all.
1We're actually very encouraging to each other about what looks great.
2My sister and i are night and day different . . . she's short (5'2", i'm 5'7"), brunette (i'm blonde) and way curvy (people often mistake me for a 12 year old boy). She also does this grungy bohemian chic thing that I could never pull off, and she knows a lot about makeup (an art which I am still clueless about). That being said, we never compete because our styles are so different that there's nothing to compare!
3My only sibs are boys! They think I'm the prettiest, obviously!
4I have a brother, it would be weird to compete over looks.
5I'm quitenobsessive over beauty, my wsister doesent care, she's a natural beauty though, and is highly photogenic when she's all dolled up. my other sister's 25 and gorgeous too. no compettition here (:
6Yeah I have 3 brothers and no sisters so I'm all set!
7i have brothers haha. so competing for looks isnt an issue.
8I'm an only child.
9i have a brother so i don't need to compete with him...haha
10yep i only have a brother- so no competition there! and we look a lot a like anyways lol i am jealous of his ability to tan though! he got more of those genes- i stay pasty white!!
11My sister and I are so similar, yet so different. I'm older, but we are only a year apart. We are about the same height, size, etc... but i've got dark hair and eyes and she is blonde with blue eyes. We are often mistaken for twins. We have totally different looks, I'm very classic, well groomed and "expensive" and she is self described as more 'flash & trash' (yet expensive as well!) We always get each other on the same bandwagon for beauty products and things like that, and tell each other how pretty we think the other one is, but i am by far more obsessed with beauty stuff. She's completely out going and fun - people automatically love her, while I'm more stand off-ish, maybe that's why I try so hard with all the beauty stuff?
12I have a brother so this isn't an issue.
13not really - altough we're quite competitive when it comes to academics and grades and such! She'll always remind me of her grades (she's 3 years older) to make sure that maintains her spot as the older/wiser one even though my GPA is higher than hers!! anyway no not really a competition about looks!
14I have a brother. But I can relate the question to my cousin, we are very close, when we go out there's a little competition but in a good way because in the end we end up looking our best and learning beauty tips!
15My sister and I used to be competitive- when we were teenagers, she was super-thin and very pretty, and I was always overlooked because I was heavier and nerdy.
I hadn't seen her in years, and saw her couple of weeks ago, and my first thought was "Yay! I'm skinnier than my sister!". And then I felt horrid, because it's such a shallow and stupid thought.
16I have no siblings, but I guess I might be.
17We aren't competitive at all. She knows more about beauty and fashion that I do and she helps me a lot. She's a killer make up artist as well.
18we look very alike, almost like twins, so it's not a problem. you just have to realize that no one is perfect.
19None of my older sisters look anything like me. We're not competitive so much because we all work different looks. My older sister is thin and a glamorous diva. My other sister is a waif and more conservative business lawyer type in suits. And I'm more rocker, edgy and feminine.
20My sister and I are highly competitive. We have a passive-aggressive competitiveness going on, and I hate it.
21My baby sis is a total knockout. Very curvy in all the right places! She is 5'3", caramel hair, green eyes, tiny waist, big (in a good way) firm booty, big boobs and a smile to die for. She is radiant!
I am 5'5", brown hair, brown eyes, tiny waist ~ but no booty and a nice smile. I'm slender with no curves! (Other than my boobs)
She blows me out of the water! Ha ha! But I adore her and wouldn't have it any other way. We tease each other in a silly sister kind of way. As far as looks go, she is the clear winner! I'm more of a plain jane and she is more the sparkly "Look at me" kind. I'm 32 and she's 26 next month. She is my best girl friend. I'm lucky to have her as my sister and my friend!!!
22me and my older sis are 17 months apart. while we're both petite (practically the same size), we don't really look alike beyond that. i'm glad because we have different features, which i think makes us beautiful in our own ways. while there will always be somewhat of a competition with other things, there never will be with looks.
23my sister and I have a 7 year age difference. hence we dont really compete that much in the beauty area
24Oddly enough, my brother and I are a little competitive. We try to out-do eachother on who can pull off a certain style. It could be punk, prep, jock, whatever... We just want to have that unspoken victory over eachother. The weird thing is my brother's not gay or anything... it's just flat out sibling rivalry.
25I have a brother so no competition over looks or anything else
26But if I had a sister I don't know how I would feel, maybe there would be a little competition
We're almost opposites when it comes to looks: she has black hair, I'm blonde, she's super skinny (2/4), and I'm curvy, but we are the same height. That said, we actually give each other ideas and help each other out. She's doing her whole pin up 40s look and I'm doing a slight 60s mod thing.
So no, we don't compete.
27my little sister and i are total opposites--she's tall and atheletic and i'm not so tall and not so athletic. she also looks like my mom and i look like my dad. i keep my hair short and hers is long. she has more of a fresh-faced all-american look and i'm definitely more indie/vintage with my makeup and style. pretty much the only thing we have in common is light brown hair and blue eyes.
i can't stand her sometimes, but i love her nonetheless.
28Only child here. I definitely think Penelope is the more attractive of the two though they are both gorgeous.
29no we aren't competetive with looks, but my 7 year old sister is gorgeous. she won't have any problem getting a date when she's older at all. she has these beautiful brown eyes in the shape of almonds and she has the most perfect hair ever. when she does't brush it, it still looks great and feels silky, but still shes only 7 and doesn't realize how lucky she is
30They are so cute together. If you have not seen yet check out their new handbag line. My sisters come to me for advice.
31No my sister and I are not competitive at all. We both go for different types of looks so it's nothing that ever comes up, unless she or I need an opinion.
My mother on the other hand is. She is always trying to see who weighs less, got me into the uhhh lip injections and we're just crazy. Ha.
32I have a twin sister and we're pretty much competitive about EVERYTHING.
33We don't compete about looks. We are both beautiful in our own way. :]
34two younger brothers. oooh yeah.
35I have a younger sister who is just a natural beauty. we have totally different looks- both short, but I have a thin frame, while she has a naturally curvy hourglass frame. our faces are different too- mine pointier, hers more of a round shape, but we talk and act exactly the same. there's no competition with us because I'm just so glad we're friends (we used to fight like cats when we were kids).
I support her in everything.
36I have a sister that is only 15 months younger than me. Competitive...are you kidding me? Oh YES!! She's always been a little taller, 15 pounds thinner and seemingly has the perfect life: loving hubby and 3 kids. I've made a mission out of finding a healthy lifestyle and now I'm actually 5 pounds less than her! At last! And yes...we can really fight but I will always love her despite it all
37i guess i'm kind of naive but i never considered being competitive with my sister about looks. she's 22 months younger than me but people would always ask if we were twins. we look the same and have similar styles, so there was no contest about anything. all through high school we shared a wardrobe.
38I only have a brother, so we don't compete. That could get weird. LOL
39My sister & I fight over clothes, hairstyles, & body image. It's friendly competition though. We're only 2 years apart but get mistaken for twins a lot.
40we have different style & my sister is always proud of having beautiful sister like me lol (although she has big cute eyes)...she started putting make up followed me...she's always lovely as she is, too.
41I have three brothers, so as much as I wouldn't mind a little friendly competition, they aren't interested.
42i have a sister who is only a year younger but she's sooo gorgeous-- brunnette, 5'7" curvy great skin killer smile. i hate bringing guys home because even though they dont mean to, they start liking her more than me, even if it is just to be around her to stare. so yes i am insanely jealous cuz i keep loosing a guy's interest because my sister is so pretty
43i used to get super jealous of my sister, and we look nothing alike...but over time i got over it and now i just love to brag about my gorgeous sister
44Me and my brother are competitive in fitness ways we always try to see who has the best muscles and what not but of course he is much better cuz hes a boy! haha
45my sister has her style which suits her and I have my crazy colorful sometimes boring style but it works for me...lol
46There 2 and a half yrs. differnce between me and my brother, We would bicker from time to time. Nothing really major. competing over what we wanted to do Always.
47everyone thinks my sister and i are twins (she's older by 4 years!!)--we crack up about it. although she usually scores the complements, there's no sibling rivalry
the closest we get is when we both try to discover the next "it" thing so we can stake a
claim and get bragging rights
48I feel like this with my mother but in the past few months I started to look like her lol I was always getting complimented on my looks but mother caught everyone's attention and friends and coworkers were all the time like "she is prettier than u" etc..
49gets hit on in the places and streets more than me sometimes lol
My sisters and I are all short (I'm the tallest at 5'4"), with large breasts and substantial butts (yes, even my youngest sister, who's a size 0). If we competed about looks, we'd only be advocating our own flaws! We do look different; I'm blonde and my sisters are brunette, I look like my mom and my sisters look like our grandmother, etc., but looking at us you can definitely tell we're all related. I think my sisters are beautiful, and we shop together when we see each other.
