It's So Easy to Turn Miu Miu's Glitter Boots Into a Manicure

Science hasn't proven this theory correct — yet — but it seems that adding glitter to boots makes the average person more likely to develop full-blown shoe lust.

Science hasn't proven this theory correct — yet — but it seems that adding glitter to boots makes the average person more likely to develop full-blown shoe lust. Could be why these Miu Miu Chelsea boots ($750) have garnered a cult following over the past year, frequently popping up as a street-style staple. If you've come down with Miu Miu fever, too, let the shoes inspire your next manicure. Paint your nails with a deep blue polish such as Sinful Colors in Hot Spot ($2), then apply two coats of Essie's Stroke of Brilliance effect ($8). It couldn't be easier to create this magpie's dream — and that's a fact.

Style Shocker: Natalie Portman Goes (Really, Really) Blond

Here's something we didn't see coming: Natalie Portman with blond hair.

Here's something we didn't see coming: Natalie Portman with blond hair. The actress showed off her new hue last night at the premiere of LA Dance Project, her husband Benjamin Millepied's latest choreography endeavor. So why the change from her natural brunette? We hear that Natalie is lightening up for her next role, and that colorist Tracey Cunningham is the one who gave Natalie this bright and shiny blond. If you're looking to make this kind of color change for yourself, definitely take a cue from Natalie and leave this drastic shift to the pros.

Venus Williams Has Fashion Week's Easiest Look

At most fashion shows, it's the models who tower over everyone else.

At most fashion shows, it's the models who tower over everyone else. But backstage at EleVen, Venus Williams had the strongest presence in the room. The 6'1" tennis superstar was bringing back her line of sportswear and workout gear, constantly smiling and in good spirits before the presentation. Instead of using traditional models, she invited athletes to box, dance, and stretch as they showed off the collection.

"They're athletes, so it's clean," said key makeup artist Lottie of the fresh-faced look. "Some are wearing Aqua Black eyeliner tight to the lashes, but we're focusing on the skin." For a sweat-proof finish, Lottie applied Make Up For Ever HD Foundation to the face and body. Hair was similarly athletic, with John Barrett Salon hairstylist Mahogany creating individualized ponytails and braids for each athlete. "They're all sporty and trendy styles," she explained, "but they still allow you to move." Consider it a real-life beauty look created for a larger-than-life superstar.

Victoria Beckham Knows What Women Want

For Spring 2013, Victoria Beckham once again suggested that it's not just her famous friends who drive her designs.

For Spring 2013, Victoria Beckham once again suggested that it's not just her famous friends who drive her designs. The collection had pieces for power lunches as well as red carpets, and the beauty look would have worked in either situation. Pretty, yes — but strong, too.

The look: Natural hair with a slight wave in back; classic red or nude lipstick.
The inspiration: The collection, which featured curve-conscious silhouettes along with new looser fits.
Who would wear it: Victoria Beckham herself, of course — and any woman who wants to look a bit posh.
