One of the bigger headaches of the holiday season is wrapping all those presents. But what if there were products so pretty, all you had to do was buy them and pop them under your tree? Well, we've rounded up 10 products with packaging so elegant, we're giving our wrapping paper a holiday this year. You'll just need to add a tag and a bow!
Pantone has announced its color for 2014, and the winner is Radiant Orchid. We think this is a fabulous choice for a bevy of reasons. We've already seen this hue in its multiple shades on the Spring 2014 runways of Costello Tagliapietra, Naeem Khan, and PPQ (above).
But aside from that, a bunch of celebrities have also been spotted sporting this look. AnnaSophia Robb (above, left) swept the shade across her lids, while color enthusiast Lupita Nyong'o (above, right) wore the exact shade on her lips. The best part, though? We definitely already own it . . . in multiples! The color is superwearable, be it on your nails, on your eyes, or across your lips, and looks good on a lot of different skin tones. But just in case you aren't already stocked, we've got you covered. Shop your new favorite products below!
The temperature may be dropping, but don't let that stop you from savoring the season. This week on Instagram, celebrities went bold and bright to fight off the looming cold; see which snaps were our favorites!

You don't have to be Selena Gomez or Reese Witherspoon to pull off these easy-to-re-create hair and makeup looks. Just keep clicking to see who had our favorite looks of the week!
It was looking a little bit like Christmas at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies Luncheon today, but don't go looking for a fir tree. Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, and Molly Sims all showed their beautiful faces, wearing looks that were suspiciously festive. Jennifer lined her eyes in a subtly sparkling green color, while Reese dabbed a crimson hue across her lips. Molly opted for a gilded smoky eye to bring this festive theme full circle. We could see ourselves wearing all three of these looks, but which was your favorite?
Even though beauty products take the top tier in what we obsess over, we also love our clothes. So when designers and beauty brands match up to release some seriously sumptuous products, our hearts skip a beat. And lucky for us, 2013 was chock-full of designer collaborations with beauty brands. Alber Elbaz of Lanvin lent his quirky doodles to Lancôme, and we were all delighted. Anna Sui gave us a high-fashion Minnie Mouse collection. And we all squealed with glee when we spotted Isaac Mizrahi's polka-dot design for Tweezerman. It's a tough call, but someone has to be the best. Which collaboration had you most excited in 2013?

You can do more than the simple down 'do and the bad-hair-day ponytail. We've gathered our favorite red carpet moments to give long-haired ladies a jolt. Braids, buns, half-up looks, and sideswept styles can all be found within. Your ponytail holder is definitely going to get jealous this holiday season.

We look forward to the holiday season all year for plenty of reasons, including all the occasions that we get to do gorgeous, glamorous makeup. But every once in a while, a girl just needs a break, so we resort to the nudes and neutrals we love in the Summer months. And the glowing results still look amazing, like Jennifer Garner proved last night. The actress stepped out looking fresh-faced and radiant at the Beat the Odds Awards. Check out the product picks to pull off Jennifer's look below!
With Elizabeth Banks and Reese Witherspoon stepping out last night with similar blond bobs and makeup looks, we were seeing double. Elizabeth attended the Legoland tree-lighting ceremony with a festive red lipstick and shimmering shadow, while her hair was styled with a slight wave. Reese also went for a crimson lip at the Children's Defense Fund Beat the Odds Awards, but her shade was more brick than bright. Her newly shorn bob was blown out for a smooth, sleek look. These two could pass for twins, but who pulled off the look best?
Carrie Underwood took to the small screen last night as Maria in The Sound of Music, and instantly, her braided updo became one of our favorite things! But, we've got plenty of other inspiration on the classic milkmaid braid style. Alice + Olivia featured the braided style during its Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week with oversize plaits and red lips. And we've even spotted Katy Perry — in an Alice + Olivia ensemble, no less! — sporting milkmaid braids and red lips.
The trick to wearing the style in cooler weather is keeping it slick and neat. While the braids of Spring and Summer tend to be a little more on the tousled and wispy side, Fall's braids require a bit more upkeep. To keep things looking slick, spritz your hands with a strong-hold hairspray, like Rusk Strong Hold Shaping and Control Hairspray ($14), and run them over the braids to tame flyaways. You'll have instant milkmaid braids in a snap, whether you are headed to the Alps or a holiday party.
The holiday season is rife with glitter nail polish of all sorts, from flakies to hexagon shapes to everything in between. And while this variety of lacquer is festive and fun, the removal process isn't always quite as joyous. To remove glitter nail polish, you don't have to use mountains of cotton pads and gallons of polish remover. Just follow these simple tips below to make it easy on yourself.
- Step 1: Completely saturate a cotton ball with acetone nail polish remover. Next, set the soaked cotton ball on your pinky nail and wrap it completely in aluminum foil.
- Step 2: Repeat the process on each of your fingers and thumb, pressing down on the foils while the remover works its magic.
- Step 3: Let sit for about five minutes and then slide the foils off to reveal glitter-free nails.
- Step 4: Repeat steps one through three on the opposite hand.
Alternative: In lieu of foil and cotton balls, use white felt with acetone nail polish remover to get the glitter off. What are your tips for wiping away glitter lacquer? Share them with us in the comments now.
Although our heads explode every time Kate Middleton's hair makes an appearance, she had a surprisingly different 'do at the premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Kate actually swept her headline-making mane into a loose yet gorgeous ponytail. Instead of the sleek, slicked-back ponytails we tend to see on the red carpet, Kate's was elegantly loose and accented with a black velvet ribbon. Is this a sign that Kate is pushing the envelope with her red carpet styles? We're not sure, but it's definitely not stopping us from looking at her royal ponytail from all angles.
