I love poring over hundreds of images from the runway shows to get inspiration for next season's trends. But for those of you who don't have the patience, I'm making things easier by breaking down the best of the best when it comes to fashion and beauty for all things Fall 2019. Today, I'm highlighting four of the biggest standout beauty trends, straight from the runways of New York Fashion Week, that are worth experimenting with.

Feeling a bit too "runway" for you? The best part about each of these trends is that while they may feel extreme on the catwalk, they are super easy to tone down for real life. And, yes, we mean that about glitter, too! So go ahead and try a more graphic eyeliner, experiment with sparkling lips, or try a new color that you never thought would work on you.

Glitter, Glitter Everywhere!

Glitter, Glitter Everywhere!

Glitter, sparkle, and sequins are no longer reserved solely for the tween in your life. At Rodarte, models walked the runway with bright red sparkling lips (picture Dorothy's ruby slippers but as lipstick). At Christian Sirano, Ashley Graham was covered in crystals — both her outfit and her skin. The glitter at Kate Spade was a bit more relatable, with models walking the runway with shimmering pink eye shadow. The varying ways sparkle was used at the shows proves you don't have to look like a disco ball to engage with this trend (although, if you want to, go for it). MAC Glitter ($22) comes in 14 different colors and can be used on its own or mixed into other products for a more subdued look.

Graphic Black Eye Makeup

Gone are the days where smoky eyes reign supreme. At Brock Collection, eyes were graphic and bold with a black cat eye lining each model's face. At Brandon Maxwell, it was all '60s when it came to eye makeup: think Twiggy lashes and pristine liner. To achieve this look, find a Liquid Black Eyeliner
($12-22) that enables you to play around with weight and volume. Resist the urge to finish off your look with an eye shadow. This trend is all liner all the time.

No-Makeup Makeup

For the classic romantic, there was no better collection than Carolina Herrera, which was filled with flowy dresses and bright colors. The beauty was all natural: amazing, dewy skin that allowed all the attention to be on the clothes. The no-makeup makeup look we fall in love with season after season starts with well primed, great skin. Charlotte Tilbury's Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44) is a highlighter/primer mix that will make all of your makeup appear dewier.

Terra Cotta Colors

Clay colors, specifically in a terra cotta shade, were beautifully used at both Kate Spade and Cushnie, on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Move over, living coral, a deeper orange, like Sisley's Paris's Orange Acapulco Le Phyto-Rouge Lipstick ($57) is moving in.
