Kat Von D's Vegan Love Eyeshadow Palette Will Blow Your Other Ones Out of the Water

Kat Von D Beauty is rolling out even more vegan products, starting with the Go Big or Go Home Mascara ($23), and now the limited-edition Vegan Love Eyeshadow Palette ($43). Although I'm all for the idea of animal-byproduct-free beauty products and always prefer my personal care products to be cruelty-free, I sometimes am skeptical that vegan versions will be as good their regular counterparts.

Thankfully, Kat Von D Beauty is proving me wrong. My coworkers have been raving about the mascara, and after trying the eye shadow palette, I'm hopping on the vegan makeup bandwagon. Each brightly colored pan in the set can be applied with a brush or your fingers for extra pigmentation and blends easily on the lids. I was surprised by how vivid the yellow shade (Activist) and red shade (Mercy) showed up and even more happy once I tried out a look on myself.

I decided to blend the blue hue (Sanctuary) in the inner corner of my eye and fade it into purple (Empathy), then finally the red shade (Mercy). I swiped a little of the brown (Species) into my crease and watched the colors seamlessly meld together. Now that I've been converted into a vegan makeup fan, I can't wait to continue to experiment with the bold colors in the palette.
