Niecy Nash is fully aware that her marriage to Jessica Betts broke the internet, and she's OK with that. During her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show March 10, Niecy discussed how the two fell in love and that she's not one for labels. "I lovingly call her my 'hersband,'" Niecy said about Jessica. "A lot of people say that, like, 'Oh, you came out!' and I say, 'Well, from out of where?' You know what I mean? I wasn't anywhere to come out of. I wasn't living a sexually repressed life when I was married to men — I just loved them when I loved them. And now I love her."

As to how they fell in love, they were friends first. "I was already divorced, and we were still friends, and we went to go eat crabs," Niecy stated. "Ah, that's it. That's the gay thing," Ellen joked before Niecy added, "It's a gateway people. If you don't want this life, don't go eat crabs." You can see their full exchange in the video above.
