Nina Dobrev's Epic New Zealand Travel Diary

There were a lot of envy-inducing celebrity vacations in 2014, but Nina Dobrev's latest adventure might take the cake. It all started on Dec. 28, when Nina posted a snap of a manifesto from the travel and adventure website Maptia to Instagram. The manifesto reads, "I, Nina, want to see the world. Follow a map to it's edges and keep going. Forgo the plans. Trust my instincts. Let curiosity be my guide. I want to change hemispheres. Sleep with unfamiliar stars, and let the journey unfold before me."

And just like that she and a few friends, including hairstylist Riawna Capri, and her pals Morgan and Ash, headed off to New Zealand, where they've been enjoying their getaway ever since. Nina and her travel crew have spent afternoons wine tasting, gone bungee jumping, and even went off-roading. They've made new friends along the way and shared stunning photos on social media. Nina's overseas vacation is plenty of reason alone to get excited, but she has even more to celebrate since she turns 26 on Friday.
