The idea is simple: make a pledge to do something about breast cancer — it could be as simple as vowing to do a monthly self-examination — and encourage your friends to do the same. (If you visit Bloomingdale's 59th Street in New York, you'll see all of our portraits and be able to upload your own video pledge directly from the store.)

By popular demand, Nars is bringing back a collection of its cult-status polishes that have long been in retirement. Oh happy day! The limited-edition vintage lacquers ($16 each) are all named after films. Jordin says the scent isn't named for her fellow Idol's hit song, but instead came about because "my fans are the reason that I get to do any of this . . . [they] deserve a high-quality, reasonably priced scent." She chose the name, she says, to show how much she appreciates them. Because of You is certainly reasonably priced (it'll launch at $9.50 a bottle) and sounds like a young scent appropriate for Jordin's fans — it's described as a "fruity floriental" with notes of orange, currant, nectarine, orchid, peony, musk, vanilla, and an amber/woodsy base. Given how low its price point is, will you be interested in giving it a sniff?
