Grover from Sesame Street has been one of my favorite characters ever since I was a preschooler reading The Monster at the End of This Book. That's why I can't help but love this new parody of Isaiah Mustafa's hilarious (and hot like the sun) Old Spice ads. The short is ostensibly designed to teach small children about the word "on," but it seems a lot more likely to soften the hearts of former Big Bird aficionados everywhere. Check it out and let your case of the Mondays melt away for a minute:
It's a tricky thing to get inked so young. I love my tattoo, but I thought about getting it for years, and even as an adult there's always the specter of future regret lurking. Even if you love your piece, there are still pockets of people who think a tattoo makes you look unprofessional, which is hard to run up against in job interviews. Do you think it's OK that so many kids are looking to get stamped, or do you think it's a fad they'll be desperate to laser off in 10 years' time?
Bryce Dallas Howard has spectacular coloring naturally, but last night at the Hereafter premiere, she wore a combination of khaki shadow and coral lip gloss to stunning effect. It's a great transitional pairing, since khaki shadow is one of the new season's biggest trends, and coral lips were huge this Summer. For the shadow, a shade like YSL Ombré Eye Shadow in Cashmere Brown ($30) is a beautiful luxury option, but Maybelline Eye Marbleized Eye Shadow in Khaki Craze ($6) delivers a similar color at a fraction of the price. For lips, Dior Ultra-Gloss in Coral Fantasy ($26) is lovely, but Maybelline ShinyLicious in Coral Punch ($4) is a bargain. He may wear guyliner and he may occasionally color his hair, but the person in the video below is actually not Jared Leto. Using some pretty impressive makeup techniques and lots of black liner, watch as this woman (yes, woman) below transforms herself into almost an exact replica of the brooding actor. Perhaps her work will get you inspired for Halloween.
