The site is an excellent idea, and it would be especially useful during Fashion Week or before a wedding or gala. Unfortunately, right now they're solely in New York, and they don't appear to offer ancillary services like manicures. It would also be nice to see them eventually offer greater diversity in the looks they offer. Hopefully, though, Vênsette will be such a roaring success that soon we'll all be able to book our own big event makeup and hair with a few mouse clicks.
And while the new scent (an amber floral) will pay homage to the original, featuring centifolia rose, Italian iris, tonka bean, and vanilla, Initial will get an up-to-date boost with notes of caramel, Calabrian bergamot, and the hedione molecule (which makes the juice smoother). Initial is currently available in Guerlain's Paris boutiques, with a US launch slated for August.
Wild, chunky "junk" manicures have been all over runways, fashion spreads, and Lady Gaga's fingernails lately, but you don't have to be a pop star or model to wear the look. In fact, you can get a truly textured manicure with nothing but some sugar and nail glue. The results are definitely not for the faint of heart, but for your next girls' night out, they could be a pretty fun project, and they are very easy to remove. So check out how I created this crazy nail look in a flash.
