Judging by her youthful face, it's nearly impossible to believe that Eva Mendes is turning 37 on March 5, but Wikipedia doesn't lie. The Cuban-American actress has been wowing us on the red carpet and in films for over a decade now, so to celebrate her big day, here's a retrospective on some of her loveliest looks from over the years.

If you want your man to smell like George Clooney, don't hold your breath. An anonymous source says that the hunky thespian just wasn't ready to commit to a signature scent with fragrance giant Coty. "George seemed to be not that keen, unless the deal really made it worth his while," the source told Page Six. "But Coty pulled out, saying this figure made the deal impossible." That figure? A cool $30 million.
We're taking this news with a grain of salt, because anonymous "insiders" often aren't all that inside. I'm not convinced that Eau de George would be a natural fit, either; as this era's Cary Grant, George always maintains a bit of that movie-star mystique, and I kind of like not knowing exactly what he'd smell like.
On lids, silver shadow can look heavy, and even make eyes look smaller, but wearing it like Jennifer brightens and widens eyes, making you look fresher and more awake overall. So next time you're about to hit the floor yourself, consider Ms. Lopez's trick for high-impact eyes.

While it's not exactly a look you'd likely wear out, perhaps you can find some sort of inspiration in Gareth Pugh's latest collection. For the designer's 2011 Fall Paris Fashion Week show, makeup artist Alex Box created a palette that C-3PO-, sci-fi-, and avant-garde-lovers everywhere are sure to love. For the pièce de résistance, otherwise known as the mesmerizing metallic plates molded around the eyes, retroreflective gold or blue fabric pieces (that actually turned bright white against flashes of light) were cut out and glued on to the skin.
Then, to complete the futuristic-looking theme, just a touch of Studio Sculpt Foundation ($30) was used on the complexion, Clear Lipglass ($15) was dabbed on the cheekbones, and Lip Conditioner ($15) gave a touch of hydration to the models' lips.
