Rumors have been swirling all week about Aerin Lauder possibly departing the family business. Today, the details have been released. Aerin, the granddaughter of Estée Lauder, is launching her own lifestyle brand. Aptly called Aerin, the luxury lifestyle brand will include a beauty collection to be sold at select Estée Lauder counters beginning in 2012. She'll continue to serve as an Estée Lauder global brand ambassador and spokesperson while developing her own brand. Judging by her favorite spots in Paris, expect nothing but high style and impeccable taste.
One thing that makes Gwen Stefani so captivating is her honesty. She's so forthcoming, in fact, that many of her songs feature personal details about her life and emotions. Similarly, when it comes to beauty, Gwen is not one to put a spin on things. See some examples of Gwen keeping it real when you read more.

For last night's New York City premiere of Arthur, actress Greta Gerwig shined in an elegant, draped Narciso Rodriguez gown, and her bold orange lip color — Nars Heat Wave lipstick ($24) — along with her loose, wavy "undo" provided the perfect complements. The man behind the undo, Seiji for Sebastian Professional, crafted the look to work for the red carpet, as well as the afterparty. Find out how to copy Greta's casually glamorous hairstyle (using products from the Sebastian brand) when you keep reading.
You can see snapshots of what people look like as they age and even make composite faces, and the photos are beautiful. The book also comes in traditional print format, but you can get it digitally gratis. It's a thought-provoking look at the diversity of human aging and well worth a tiny bit of memory on your iPad.
Right now, more than 4,000 children die every day because they don't have clean drinking water. So to raise awareness of the issue, Cover Girl is helping Clean things up — in more ways than one. The brand has released animal-print editions of its Clean pressed-powder compact ($7) as it donates $50,000 to nonprofit Children's Safe Drinking Water. For each compact purchased, one week's worth of clean drinking water will be donated to a needy child in countries including Nigeria, Malawi, Sudan, and Kenya. As they say, pretty is as pretty does.
